Connacht Hospitality Group sets ambitious fundraising target for 2022

Connacht Hospitality Group has set an ambitious goal of raising €100,000 for four worthwhile charities in 2022. Charities that will benefit from the year-long calendar of events include Claddagh Watch Patrol, National Breast Cancer Research Institute, Galway Hospice and Make-A-Wish Ireland. The entire team across the company has planned an exciting year of events and activations.

The Galway-based Connacht Hospitality Group operates three hotels in Galway City, The Residence Hotel; the newly refurbished and rebranded HYDE Hotel; and flagship property The Connacht Hotel. They also operate a 24-hour Active Fitness Leisure Club as well as three main licensed premises including An Pucan, 1520 Bar, HYDE Bar & Gin Parlor and Connacht’s finest golf course, Galway Bay Golf Resort with plans plans to build a 4-star luxury hotel and spa in the resort; and they are also a partner company of Greenway construction.

“It is important to us as a business to support the charities that matter most to our teams, these four amazing organizations have been chosen by Connacht Hospitality Group staff as our 2022 Charities of the Year because they represent some of the closest problems. in our hearts,” said Wayne Neilon, group chief executive.

Claddagh Watch Patrol do Trojan horse work in monitoring the waterways around our city, Galway Hospice as nearest neighbor to Connacht Hotel do amazing work helping people learn to live with disease limiting life. The National Institute of Breast Cancer Research is a national charity which funds a comprehensive research program at the National University of Ireland in Galway. Make-A-Wish, a national children’s charity, grants wishes to children living with life-threatening illnesses, bringing hope, joy and precious, lasting memories to each dream child and their family.
