Fitness Australia names 2021 Industry Award finalists

Fitness Australia has unveiled the finalists for its 2021 Australian Fitness Awards – recognizing and celebrating individuals, businesses and community groups dedicated to improving the health and well-being of all Australian communities.

This year’s winners will be announced starting at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, October 15 as part of the FILEX 2021 virtual series, which will include an opening speech from who is a Paralympic gold medalist, world champion, Wimbledon and winner of the grand slam and inspirational speaker, Dylan Alcott.

Recognizing the exceptional work of the finalists of the Australian Fitness Awards 2021 showcased the professionalism, endurance and tenacity of the national fitness industry despite pandemic challenges over the past 18 months, Barrie Elvish, Managing Director of Fitness Australia, spoke stated that “each finalist has demonstrated an incredible commitment to their profession. and their community over the past 18 months. Whether this is through professional development to ensure they are providing safe and quality services to clients or by creating community-based programs that remove barriers to participation and encourage participation from a wide range of different groups. .

“The courage and determination of our industry during this time has been overwhelming. I am immensely proud of every member of Fitness Australia and these awards are fantastic to celebrate our accomplishments and congratulate our finalists and category winners to be announced in a few weeks.

Over 1,000 entries were received in the 12 individual, business and community categories and this year’s finalists include a mix of rural, regional and metropolitan professionals and businesses.
