I would like to thank the French government and the French Consulate in Hong Kong and Macao for granting me this recognition and this honor, which I would like to share with all my colleagues and friends. The Peninsula has had a long association with France and opening The Peninsula Paris, our first Peninsula in Europe, was one of the proudest moments in our company’s history. This honor is awarded in the name of service and so I would like to dedicate these two medals to my deceased parents, who taught me from an early age what a privilege and honor it is to serve others. ”
