Personal injury law firm Cutler Rader announces that one of its founding partners, Andrew Rader, has been certified as a Civil Lawsuit Counsel by the Florida Bar.
Rader is part of an elite group of more than 100,000 Florida attorneys; less than 1,000, or 1%, are certified by the Civil Trial Law Board.
Rader is especially proud because it is the only certification recognized by the Florida Bar and granted by the Florida Supreme Court.
“We are extremely proud of him,” said Kenneth Cutler, partner and co-founder of Cutler Rader. “Andrew is an exceptional lawyer and an even better lawyer, and this title proves it.”
According to the Florida Bar website, counsel certification recognizes lawyers’ knowledge, skills, and special skills in various areas of law, as well as professionalism and ethics in practice. Established in 1982 by the Florida Supreme Court, counseling certification helps consumers identify specialists in various areas of law.
To gain board certification, Rader had to prove that he had significant testing experience. He has demonstrated that he has tried cases in Miami, Palm Beach and Broward counties, state and federal courts, New York, Bronx, Rockland and Orange counties in New York, and in as a public defender in the South Bronx for ten years.
Andrew Rader has served clients throughout Florida and New York for over 30 years in state and federal courts.
In 2013, Rader partnered with Cutler to co-found Cutler Rader, a leading personal injury and commercial litigation law firm in South Florida specializing in serious motor vehicle accidents, slips/trips, falls, catastrophic injuries, medical malpractice and commercial disputes.
Born and raised in Freeport, New York, Rader earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Binghamton University and a Juris Doctor cum laude from George Washington University School of Law in Washington, DC.
He went on to become a public defender in the South Bronx and an AV-ranked civil attorney who secured substantial recoveries for his many clients.
Passionate about giving back to the community, Rader sponsors and contributes to multiple charitable causes and sits on the board of Congregation Kol Tikvah.
He is married to Meryl Rome, MD, and has two adult children, Hannah, a program director in Denver, and Spencer, a West Point graduate who is now studying to be an electrician in northern Canada. He currently resides in Parkland.
