Men’s Golf Storms Back To Capture Mobile Bay Championship

Bradbury shot a stellar third-round 67 (-5) as he raced through the entire round without a single score over par. He started his terrific game on the third hole, with an eagle on a par four, keeping that momentum going, he birdied on the next par five. Bradbury continued to birdie holes twelve and thirteen and finished his game at the same time. Bradbury led FSU in shooting -7 on par fives. Bradbury had rounds of 72-70-67, finishing with a total of 209 (-7), contributing strongly to Florida State’s victory and posting his best performance as a Seminole.

Senior team captain Calvin Sierota, who played individually, ranked T-13. Sophomore Brett Roberts also ranked T-13, with the two finishing the tournament with a combined 214 (-2). Both had an excellent third round. Sierota shot a 68 (-4), achieving his best score on the final day, 73-73-68. Sierota also led the team in birdies, having 14 in three rounds. Roberts shot his best score of the tournament on the final day, carding a 69 for final scores of 72-73-69.

Frederik Kjettrup fired an impressive five under, 67, to end the game at Intercollegiate. He recorded scores of 76-72-67 (215, -1) for the two-day, three-round event. He birdied a total of six in the final round alone, making a train of birdies on holes fifteen, sixteen and seventeen to finish the T-18 tournament.

Michael Sakane placed T-23. He started the tournament strong, carding a three-under 69. Although Sakane had a tough second round, he came back with a two-under final round, finishing with scores of 69-77-70, for a total of 216 (E). He joined Bradbury in the Eagles club for the tournament, attacking the first par five on the course. He led the team in eagles, with two in the tournament, as well as tied for the tournament lead in pars, with 41.

Patrick McCann competed individually in his first college tournament, finishing with scores of 72-71-76, for a total of 219 (+3), placing T-37. Cole Anderson placed T-69 with his best score in the second round, with a 71.

The Seminoles next play in the Watersound Invitational Feb. 20-22 at Camp Creek Golf Club in Panama City Beach, Florida.
