On 10th Anniversary, FitnessOnDemand Launches New Live Streaming Feature

Leading on-demand exercise platform FitnessOnDemand has introduced a new service that gives club operators the ability to live stream instructor-led fitness classes and seamlessly integrate them into their content libraries at Requirement.

The new live streaming feature also offers live in-studio lessons to give members the full brand experience no matter how they choose to train.

Launched this week at the 40th IHRSA International Convention and Trade Show (IHRSA 2021) in the United States, the feature combines instructor-led live course functionality with the current FitnessOnDemand platform of over 1 000 courses, training and specialized content on demand.

For instructors, this means the ability to offer their signature classes and interact live with member participants even if they are not present in the studio.

For club operators, this provides the ability to easily extend live lessons to include additional virtual participants; promote the best instructors and popular classes to a greater number of members; or create special streaming events as premium subscription add-ons.

Commenting on this feature, Uday Anumalachetty, Divisional Vice President of FitnessOnDemand, said, “It’s not just about adding functionality to our current technology.

“This is the next important step in delivering integrated, flexible and branded fitness experiences to our club clients and their members, where and how they choose to exercise. Whether people train in the studio with an instructor in their favorite class, now stream that class live at home, or select on-demand workouts to suit their schedule, the platform guarantees members the same exceptional, high-caliber club brand experience every time. “

Instructor Broadcast mode allows any instructor using the new functionality of the FitnessOnDemnand platform to connect with a diverse audience of remote users for live virtual fitness classes. Broadcast events can be pre-scheduled and shared through club websites and social channels, allowing attendees to confirm attendance and book attendance instantly. Once instructors are online, class participants can click on a class list in the Fitness OnDemand app to join and instantly stream the class or join a class starting soon.

Classes are available on iOS and Android apps as well as web browsers and performance is automatically recorded in participants’ personal training histories with the ability for members to rate each session. An additional one-on-one instructor mode also allows personal trainers and class instructors to connect with individual members and deliver highly personalized live sessions tailored to members’ needs, interests and fitness levels.

FitnessOnDemand’s live streaming also gives clubs and all other fitness facility operators the ability to plan for any eventuality in the changing club landscape, whether it’s unexpected club closures or changing member interests for mobile training options.

FitnessOnDemand is also approaching its 10th anniversary.
