The 2022 El Dorado Junior Golf Camp, hosted by KidsNGolf and SouthArk for Union County boys and girls, is scheduled for June 6-9.
The camp will be held at the Municipal Lions Club Golf Course from 9:00 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday.
KidsNGolf’s mission is to introduce life-changing principles, disciplines and personal confidence to young people through the teaching and playing of golf. SouthArk Junior Golf is dedicated to promoting junior golf in southern Arkansas.
Golf lessons adapted to the age and skill level of children will be offered to campers. Children aged 8 to 14 can register.
KidsNGolf coaches and staff will lead the instruction.
“Last year’s camp was such a success, and we are equally excited about this week to begin our summer golf programs,” said Art Noyes, Executive Director of KidsNGolf. “Each year the golf camp is a great way to introduce golf to many young people in our area who may have never been on a golf course before.”
Gold Camp is $50 and registration is limited to the first 35 kids who sign up.
During camp, mornings will be divided into 45-minute instructional segments, with coaches assigned to golfers based on their skill. Time will also be set aside to discuss the life skills and values inherent in the game of golf.
Each morning will end with lunch on the clubhouse patio, provided by Pupp’s BBQ of El Dorado.
On Thursday, June 9, rewards will be given out to recognize player effort, conduct, and improvement throughout the week. Parents and family members are invited to the awards ceremony.
