Parkland Crime Update: Student Brought Gun to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School

Thanks to our joint efforts with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other incidents in Parkland through November 15, 2021.

Aggravated aggression

Loxahatchee Road

A 26-year-old man was the victim of aggravated assault in the 12000 block of Loxahatchee Rd on 12/11/2021. A road check was carried out. The subjects were detained and then released. Intrusion warning issued.

Threat Assessment Report

Parkside Drive

On 9/11/2021, MPs conducted a threat assessment report at Riverglades Primary School, 7400 Parkside Dr. A seven year old boy made a threat.

University road

On 9/11/2021, MPs conducted a threat assessment report to Somerset Parkland Academy, 8401 University Dr. No casualties were identified.

Traffic violation

N. University Drive

On 9/11/2021, arrestable traffic violations occurred in block 6200 of University Dr when a 46-year-old woman was arrested for a traffic violation (failure to keep in one lane). The woman admitted that her license had been suspended. The records check revealed 11 suspensions between 2017 and 2021. Her license was revoked indefinitely on 3/11/21, and she was arrested and transported to the Broward Sheriff’s Office Main Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Weapons violations

N. Pine Island Road

A weapons violation occurred in block 5900 of Pine Island Rd on 10/11/2021. The administration of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School conducted a routine search and located a weapon on the student. The pupil was transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center after notification of the parents.


Santiago, Lourdes Raspaldo, 45, was arrested for driving while Lic Susp 3rd Or Subsq Off in block 6000 of University Dr on 9/11/2021.

Donnelly, Patrick Michael, 34, was arrested for possession with intent to sell cannabis for manufacture in the 7000 block of Hillsboro Blvd on 11/13/2021.
